Welcome to The Foot Health Centre! Our Chiropodists are here to help you keep enjoying life’s great moments, every step of the way.
Cancellation Policy
At The Foot Health Centre, your appointment time is reserved especially for you. Out of respect for both our patients and practitioners, we require a minimum of 2 business days’ notice for any cancellations or rescheduling.
Notice Period
Cancellations or changes must be made at least 2 business days in advance. Please note that our office closes at 3:00 pm on Fridays and we are not open on weekends, so weekend hours are not included in the notice period. Providing advance notice allows us to offer your appointment time to another patient on our wait list who may be in need of care.
Missed or Late-Cancelled Appointments
Appointments cancelled with less than 2 business days’ notice, or missed without notice, will be subject to a full visit fee.
Emergencies
We understand that unexpected circumstances can arise. If you are unable to attend due to an emergency, please contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to accommodate your situation.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. This policy helps us provide timely care and ensures appointment availability for all of our patients.

Podiatric medicine focuses on the prevention, assessment, and treatment of diseases and disorders affecting the foot, using therapeutic and orthotic methods. In Ontario, chiropodists (pronounced ker-ro-po-dist) are primary health care providers who play a vital role in supporting the overall health and well-being of individuals. They manage and treat both acute and chronic conditions of the foot and ankle, help prevent injuries and disabilities, and promote proper foot health.
Members of The College of Chiropodists of Ontario are the only regulated health professionals in Ontario who specialize in biomechanics and orthotic therapy. They complete a rigorous educational path, with a minimum of 7–8 years of post-secondary education before earning their professional designation. Their scope of practice includes treating skin and nail conditions, subcutaneous lesions, bone deformities, and biomechanical issues.
Podiatric Medical Assistant
Our Podiatric Medical Assistants play a crucial role in supporting our chiropodists in the treatment of foot and ankle conditions. Their responsibilities include preparing patients for exams, assisting with procedures, and performing routine tasks such as taking medical histories, sterilizing instruments, applying dressings or braces, fitting footwear and/or orthotics.

They perform a range of clinical services, including post-operative dressing changes, physical therapy modalities such as therapeutic ultrasound and shockwave therapy, and footwear fittings. They also work in tandem with our Chiropodists to support orthotic fittings.
Whether you’re receiving break-in instructions for your custom orthotics or undergoing a therapeutic treatment to reduce pain and improve mobility, our Podiatric Medical Assistants are here to deliver personalized, professional care aligned with your treatment plan.
